Doodlebugger's Daughter
Drill the holes, do the test.
Tell them where, to drill, is best.
Work at this without a care,
'til we know if oil is there.
then pack up and move away,
to another town for 90 days.
(give or take)
Another school, another friend,
but only until the potential ends.
Another house, another town,
It's kinda fun to move around.
But sad when you don't remember the way,
to the room in this house where you stay.
Then one day we bought a home,
tailor made for folks who roam.
Mobile "Home"! Our house on wheels.
Yes, we heard how the upper class feels.
"Trailer Trash" "Doodlebuggers"
Those are two, there were lots of others.
What they say, can't hurt me,
'cause we're the world's best family.
A loving home, cared for well,
In 33 years it never fell
Parents kept it full of love,
& God sent blessings from above.
