Nothing Else Like Love

There's nothing else like love they say,
to brighten up your life and day.
There must be something wrong with me,
'cuz love doesn't work that way.
My love has brought less joy than pain,
and on my heart, each love is a stain.
You seemed to me all love should be,
yet our love has just brought rain.
Each new day brings a new beginning,
each beginning brings new pain.
Smiles mask the pain as if we're winning,
but the smiling is in vain.
Our love's the worst I've ever known,
dispite my hopes and the love I've shown.
It hurts even more than the others it seems,
and brings harder landings, in broken dreams.
